ModeratorWell it was an unexpected purchase so the cheapest available. I bought a cheap pair of Riverworks ($160.00) but I have to say I’m really please with them. My last pair were Riverworks and they lasted me ages. Even though the ones I just bought weren’t the ones I would have liked to buy they are a really comfy boot and if they last as long as the last pair I’ll be well pleased.

ModeratorThanks Andy, Dave G brought me up to speed on that and after some deliberation we have decided to postpone the trip to a later date and give the family some space. A card will be sent on behalf of the club to the family.

ModeratorI’ve been keeping an eye on the weather forecast for the weekend. According to AccuWeather we might just be lucky and have no rain from about 10am onwards until late afternoon on Saturday. So rather than change the day we’ll risk it. Mainly because I have no idea who is coming and I can only hope you look on this forum. If it does turn out to be too wet we can all go home again. So bring a coat and gumboots and a thermos. See you there (Groynes fishing lakes area).

ModeratorI usually fish lower down nearer the township but I’m working my way up. I haven’t personally fished the Taylor or Bowyers but I believe both are worth a look as is the south branch above Thomsons Track. I went back again on Monday. Saw plenty but didnt hook up. Pleased to see the fish that took my dry fly still in the same spot and again I lost a fly but this time on a sunken log sticking out from the bank.
